I’m Dr. Lara Aitken, DOM, CFMP — Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Master Health & Life Coach, and Certified Hypnotherapist. With over 24 years of experience in holistic and integrative healing, I’ve dedicated my life to helping people restore balance to their bodies, minds, and lives.
At 4 Winds Medicine, I believe that healing happens when care is compassionate, personalized, and accessible — whether you’re sitting in my treatment room or joining me through a secure virtual visit.
My journey began with a deep calling to help others find relief, balance, and empowerment—physically, mentally, and emotionally. While I began my practice in Central Florida, I am grateful to now also offer virtual services nationwide, allowing individuals near and far to access holistic care from the comfort of their own home.
Healing is never one-size-fits-all. I believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. By integrating Eastern and Western philosophies, I create personalized treatment plans designed to uncover root causes and restore harmony within the body and mind. Whether through acupuncture guidance, mind-body hypnotherapy, functional medicine protocols, or coaching support, my mission is to offer a compassionate, patient-centered pathway to true wellness.
A Holistic Philosophy of Care.
With a background as a Master Life and Health Coach for over 19 years, I guide individuals to become the best version of themselves—whether that means reclaiming their health, achieving personal goals, or thriving in life. Coaching allows me to support my patients beyond the treatment room, helping them build habits, resilience, and clarity as they move forward in their healing journey.
I believe there is always an option. No matter where you are starting from, holistic medicine offers tools, insight, and hope. My role is to listen, support, and empower you to take an active role in your well-being—whether in-person or through secure virtual consultations.

I also offer secure virtual care for clients throughout the United States — so you can receive one-on-one functional medicine consultations, health and life coaching, mind-body therapies, and ongoing support from the comfort of your home. Virtual visits are conducted through HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms to ensure privacy, convenience, and the same depth of care you’d receive in office.
Whether you choose in-office visits or virtual sessions, my focus remains the same: to listen deeply, uncover root causes, and guide you toward sustainable wellness.
